There is a story behind every journey.
Some begin with a map. Some begin with a destination. Others begin with a question.
This journal began with a question.
Not a single question, but many.
Who are we beneath the labels we wear?
What gives life meaning?
How do we remain true to ourselves in a world that constantly tells us who we should be?
How do we find the sacred in ordinary moments?
And how do we continue growing without losing sight of who we are?
A Wanderer’s Journal was created as a place to explore those questions.
It is not a book of absolute answers. It is not a guide to the one true path. It is not a collection of rules that must be followed.
It is a record of a journey.
My journey.
And perhaps, in some ways, yours as well.
My name is Reverend Suzanne Marie Waddell, though many people know me as Wanderer MoonChild. Over the years, I have studied spirituality, philosophy, religion, history, and the many ways human beings seek meaning and connection. The more I learned, the more I realized that wisdom rarely comes from certainty alone. It grows through curiosity, reflection, experience, and the willingness to keep learning.
That spirit of exploration is at the heart of this journal.
Here you will find reflections on spirituality, seasonal living, moon magic, the Wheel of the Year, shadow work, personal growth, herbal wisdom, and the many lessons hidden within everyday life. Some entries may be practical. Some may be philosophical. Some may simply be observations gathered while walking my own path.
What connects them all is a belief that spirituality is not something separate from life.
It is woven into life.
It can be found in the changing seasons, the bread rising on a kitchen counter, the garden growing outside a window, the moon overhead, the conversations that challenge us, the hardships that shape us, and the quiet moments that remind us who we are.
You do not need to follow my path to walk beside me for a while.
Whether you are a witch, a pagan, a seeker, a spiritual explorer, a lifelong student, or simply someone searching for a little more meaning in the world, you are welcome here.
This journal is an invitation.
An invitation to remain curious.
An invitation to ask questions.
An invitation to explore the sacred in both the extraordinary and the ordinary.
Most of all, it is an invitation to keep wandering.
Not because you are lost.
But because there is always more to discover.
So welcome, fellow traveler.
The fire is lit.
The kettle is warm.
And the journey continues.
